The Finals

A fast, free-to-play shooter built around team competition and physics-driven chaos.

Why I recommend it

I recommend The Finals because its destructible arenas give the shooting a clear point of difference. Walls and structures can be damaged during matches, so the environment is part of the action rather than a fixed backdrop. That makes its gameshow setting feel functional, not simply decorative.

It is also free to play, which makes it easy for a group to try together on PC. The focus is firmly on quick multiplayer competition and team play. I think that combination works best for people who already enjoy first-person shooters but want matches that feel less predictable. The destruction can change routes and disrupt plans, giving players more to consider than their aim alone.

What stands out

Best for

Competitive FPS playersGroups playing together onlineFans of destructible environmentsPlayers who enjoy unpredictable matches

Worth knowing

The pace and environmental destruction can make matches difficult to read at first. Players after a slower, more controlled shooter may find it overwhelming.

How I've experienced it

I see The Finals as a strong example of destruction being used as a core multiplayer system rather than a cosmetic effect.
